Them Hazzard Boys Are at It Again
Silly simply has a gentle mood to it that makes it slight fun
Years later on the family unit have grown upward and gone their separate ways, Uncle Jessie organises a reunion to bring all the clan back together once more for a party. One time Luke, Bo, Daisy and Cooter are all back he tells them that he needs aid to fight a property developer who is trying to build a theme park on the swamp and build access across his belongings. The developer challenges the boys to a race her stock machine against theirs with the winner taking all. When Daisy makes a discovery that all may not be what it appears she is kidnapped can the boys rescue Daisy and win the race?
I watched the TV evidence when I was younger only I tin can't remember much beyond comedy lawmen, Daisy'southward torso and machine chase afterward motorcar chase, and so maybe this film wasn't aimed at me merely I watched it anyway. The reunion has a sparse plot that is a little daffy simply done with a slight bit of tongue in cheek. It gets a little stretched at times (the concluding race is a bit of a joke) as it takes on too many commitments without fitting them in well, only the light tone helps this.
The comedy is gentle and helps the moving-picture show generally. The car chases are quite basic only in that location are one or ii moments where the stunt drivers deserve a lot of credit (a mid air collision is a high point) only the really cheap back projection spoils whatever illusion of who is in the cars for existent. If you were looking for genuine tension or excitement then you lot're in the wrong identify I'one thousand afraid.
The cast look genuinely happy to be back and there is a respectful tone for those who had died since the TV show wrapped Booke'due south Dominate Hog being the biggest loss I think. However everyone does what they are supposed to do. Uncle Jessie doesn't look that much older, Wopat and Schneider enjoy themselves and Bach still looks good despite not quite having the same body that she had as a youngster! Best reprises his part well and as well covers for the loss of Booke. The addition of some martial arts activeness in the shape of Cynthia Rothrock adds a little spice to the mix and stops it becoming old likewise apace.
Overall this is all a bit silly and is probably best served to fans notwithstanding there is enough fun here to justify those of us who watched the serial only wouldn't call ourselves fans.

Welcome Back Dukes
It is quite rare for a Boob tube reunion movie to be every bit good as a serial itself only this Dukes of Hazzard movie was not bad.
The original Dukes of Hazzard series was only plainly fun-it was the type of show anyone could savour. This pic recreated the magic of the original series and even though the stars were a lot older that fabricated absolutely no difference to me-I still liked them and they were withal convincing in their roles.
The movie may not take had Boss Hogg in but to information technology's credit they did admit Boss Hogg unlike some Boob tube reunion movies which seem to forget certain characters.
A great film which volition exist loved past fans of the TV series.

Hazzard County comes to life i more than time!
Tom Wopat and John Schneider revive their 80's characters as, in one case again, the "Good Ol' Boys" rise up against corruption in the South, this time in the form of a baron (Stevens), with the assist of some friends from the one-time series.
Y'all know, I grew upwards in the Dukes' era, and I was mildly surprised at how adept of a job director Lewis Teague did with this picture show. I know that the original series has some corny plots by what nosotros come across nowadays, but, for those of us who grew upwardly in that time, there wasn't 1 of us alive who enjoyed the original serial without picturing themselves backside the wheel of the Full general Lee. (I had to mention the car - later on all, information technology was the machine(southward) that made the jump, not those boys.) A little older, perhaps, merely the actors walked in and picked upwardly on their original characters like they've been doing them for the last xx years.

Dukes Reunion . . . Yee-Haa!!!
The Dukes of Hazzard: Reunion! was a moving-picture show long in waiting. It was nice to see the Duke boys and the General Lee back in activity. If y'all similar the show, you would definitely like the picture. The old "salvage the farm" technique was used, but that is what all fans of the show are accustomed to. Fifty-fifty though Sorrell Booke, aka Boss Hogg, has passed, they did a lovely job of incorporating his retention into the movie. My but trouble was with the slight prop imperfections, but what practice you expect. Hopefully some other movie is in the works, even though Denver Pyle, Uncle Jesse, is also no longer with us. I'yard gone.

Best Reunion Movie For This Serial
Warning: Spoilers
THIS Annotate MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS :
I never thought they would ever do it, and then I was totally blown abroad when I saw the Dukes of Hazzard Reunion on CBS back in 1997. The series became hot all over once again when it played on TNN and now on CMT. It was indeed sad that Sorrell Booke as Boss Hogg had died. I recollect hearing nearly it during my senior year in college. But his being acknowledged was fantastic. I never once imagined Rosco as both boss and sheriff of Hazzard, but that made it even more than enjoyable. I feel that Catherine Bach still looks nifty equally Daisy Duke. Okay, certain she didn't have the same physique she did in the series, but you have to sympathize. She recently had a infant prior to filming this movie and she was in her xl'southward at the fourth dimension as opposed to beingness in her 20s/'30'south during the serial. Non many people have that same physique when they go older. She looked fantastic!! Tom Wopat and John Schneider had no trouble returning to the roles of Bo and Luke Duke. Now Bo existence a NASCAR driver, I could believe, I felt that Luke being a chief fireman was a bit odd. Daisy had a proficient catch upwards story of beingness in a failed marriage and she put herself through college and graduate school studying ecology. Dandy to see Enos back and at present he'southward a tough competent cop from L.A. but still maintains his honest, shy, adolescent charm. I loved that he and Daisy courted and was looking forward to their marriage and the cease of the pic, but to be greatly disappointed that the wedding was called off because Daisy'south idiot ex husband shows up by accident.
James All-time is Funnier than ever as Rosco P. Coltrane, now the head honcho of Hazzard County and his scenes with Stella Stevens every bit Mama Max were absolute jewels to watch. 1 priceless scene was the emotional scene when he talks to the portrait of the late Boss Hogg.
I loved the fact that Cooter too served in Congress only like Ben Jones did in real life. And it was great to run into Rick Hurst return as Cletus, especially since the series never revealed where he vanished to when he departed during the 5th flavour.
The only thing I didn't like about the movie was Bubba and Bertha Jo. At present I know that these movies need supportive characters, simply surely they could accept come up with amend. Bubba and Betha Jo got on my nerves and the fact that they married instead of Daisy and Enos made me despise them even more than. But information technology is still a terrific reunion moving picture and peculiarly to run across Bo and Luke racing effectually in the General Lee simply similar the former days. It is especially a peachy hazard to run across Denver Pyle one more than time as Uncle Jesse since sadly, he would laissez passer away on Christmas of that same year. The Dukes of Hazzard Reunion is a moving picture I volition gladly give two thumbs up.

Better than the original evidence!
This moving-picture show was a lot of fun. Lots of fun jokes. The original cast looks great. Stella Stevens is a riot equally Mama Max.

A Good Old Time
I bought and watched this on Prime Video.
Prime Video has Reunion (1997) and Vudu has Hazzard In Hollywood (2000), each are $ten.
They managed to brand most of this experience like the original prove, just with older people.
The risk part of the story more or less works.
Emily Proctor (West Wing, CSI Miami) plays a mechanic in this.
Activeness/Fight star Cynthia Rothrock is a fighter in this and also best friends with Daisy Duke.
This was a good time.

Rosscoooooe Peeeeee Coltrayne - yeeee ha!
Ah, such sweetness memories. The bleat of tyres on mud (!), the gratuitous bums in tight shorts shots, the sped up activeness sequences and Daisy Duke (looking a piddling less fantastic than I remember, but still a fine lookin' woman) - does it become any better? Well, it might've been had Boss Hogg nevertheless been with us. :( Damned funny watching them all run effectually, a little pudgy and wrinkly but, rest-assured, information technology's still full of the good old fashioned Duke over-acting complete with woeful plot. :) Dem Good Ol' Duke Boys haven't changed much; I swear Bo is still wearing the aforementioned jeans he wore back in '77. So, if y'all get a chance to lookout this reunion, git on downwardly to the Boar's Nest, sink a couple of brews and allow out an old "Yeee Ha!" for old times sake. But drive home safety, ya hear!

A reunion? They should've tossed their invitations.
Warning: Spoilers
The dukes and all of their friends render to Hazzard county for a reunion festival, and take new adventures which include a predictable plot nigh a greedy woman who wants to buy Uncle Jesse's land, and plenty of car chases. Despite crumbling and deceased actors, this motion picture manages to retain about of it's original fashion. The characters still act similar you lot would expect them to, and the activeness is as entertaining equally always. A special kudos can go out to the casting section for getting all of the original actors they could, and non trying to cover upward Sorrell Burke's decease by having another thespian play Boss Hogg.
That's pretty much all the good I can say for this movie. Other than that, Roscoe Coltrane merely isn't as funny without his "little fat buddy" around to constantly harass and degrade him. It's not quite every bit funny to see him as the new "boss", although it is fitting for his graphic symbol. Seeing him as a dimwitted sheriff was funnier. The other characters work ameliorate, but information technology's difficult to see Denver Pyle struggle to say his lines with his impending decease of lung cancer.
And at present the major flaw-Political Definiteness. This film, like many other Tv set shows and movies from the 90s, was injected with an overdose of pc. The "Tough Man" competition is changed to the "Tough Person" contest, there is a 100 pound blonde female person wrestler who physically harms at least half the male person bandage, including her beau, which Daisy seems to remember is a victory for all women everywhere. The bad woman basically turns proficient in the terminate to avoid being arrested, while her male person underlings learn goose egg and are driveling equally a consequence. (One guy is fifty-fifty taken for a ride in the trunk of the Full general Lee. And in the end, Daisy decides not to marry poor Enos at their Wedding, just considering she basically didn't experience like information technology. What a cop out! Geez, they might as well have removed the confederate flag from the General Lee!
Only the worst part is, at that place really isn't a whole lot of laughs. What fabricated the original series so funny was Dominate Hogg and Roscoe'south banter- which, similar I said before, tin't be found in this movie.
Anyhow, long-time fans who don't heed the PC, and are really interested in seeing what happened to the characters may find information technology entertaining. To anybody else, it'southward just a dumb, dumb picture show.

Not as well bad... just similar the Idiot box show!
Warning: Spoilers
I am a huge fan of the Goggle box show, and as this movie was so similar, I enjoyed near every minute of it. It was great to run across Luke and Bo back and looking great - nevertheless the same old boys! Daisy was wonderful -a strong adult female and still a lovely i. Enos came back! YAY! He and Daisy finally hooked upwards! YAY! Roscoe was himself also! Uncle Jesse was great every bit the head of the family unit - he will be missed. As is Boss - the pseudo-villainy of the man was missing from this, but Roscoe followed in his footsteps well.
Warning: Hither Be SPOILERS!!! What I didn't like was that Daisy seemed to be flaky at the end. I never got that out of the Tv show, and I actually didn't think that she would break Enos' heart like that; just proverb that she tin can't go through with the wedding because she saw her ex. She ought to know Enos is not like her ex. He was wonderful every bit the still loyal man.
And my but question is - when are Bo and Luke going to become hitched? Some lucky girl out there is waiting to be a Mrs. Duke.

A Pleasant Homecoming
Alert: Spoilers
Reunion shows are usually a mixed bag. On the ane hand, it is always tempting to encounter your favorite shows as a kid and recapture by viewing pleasure. On the flip side, many of these re-makes are not well done, and they negate the skillful memories these shows hold. The Dukes Of Hazzard Reunion does a apparent task for the most part of honoring the original series, providing a plausible storyline and non straying as well far from the original concept.
The show opens by getting us reacquainted with the principal characters as 1 past one they converge on Uncle Jesse'southward farm. Bo is now a professional person race car driver. Luke works for the Forestry Service. Cooter is a congressman, while Daisy is a grad student at (appropriately) Duke University. While Enos works for the LAPD- a nod to his departure from the original series- Roscoe has inherited the deceased Boss Hogg'south fortune and is double dipping as both Sheriff AND County Commissioner. The Knuckles clan must terminate crooked state developer Mama Max (Stella Stevens) from edifice a theme park in Hazzard Swamp- the country on which the Duke Farm sits. Along the way, nosotros're treated to the usual hello-jinks which characterized the series; machine chases, bumbling cops, not-too-bright criminals and fun and risk with our 2 master stars and the most famous Dodge Charger in history. Information technology is a theme that works well because of its familiarity.
"The Dukes" is non without some sadness and regret. The late Sorrell Booke, a wonderful character actor who masterfully portrayed Boss Hogg, is not on hand (At that place is a wonderful, touching scene in which a tearful Rosco speaks to a painting of Dominate in his office). Denver Pyle (Uncle Jesse) was sick with cancer when this picture was made yet gamely soldiered on. Gone is Waylon Jennings, the deep voiced country music legend and Dukes Balladeer. And those expecting to come across sexpot Catherine Bach- the object of every male person fantasy in the eighty'south- will surely be a bit disappointed, as age has made her a mere mortal.
Despite these factors, the original Dukes Of Hazzard holds fond personal memories of childhood, and this motion picture brought many of them back while successfully paying tribute to the series.

Long awaited and generally well done!
The plot and surviving bandage were great here as we see the Duke Family and the lawmen in fine activeness again, this time to try to deal with a crooked developer and her cohorts. A nice capstone to an old fun family friendly series with an admittedly complex legacy.
Certainly, compared to the unrelated R-rated later on day movies of the newer casts, both Reunion Goggle box movies of the surviving original bandage mates are raw gems of decency!

Average ... at best
Alarm: Spoilers
My 10-year old son and I just finished watching the reunion on CMT, and it's the 2nd fourth dimension i've seen it ... information technology was his showtime. i vaguely remembered non liking this reunion, now i retrieve. Enos and Daisy'southward wedlock doesn't happen, Cooter's a Congressman? The principal thing that really seems to bother me is that Only Bo drives the Full general Lee. Why is that? Did John Schneider'south ego cause him to demand that in his contract? I've washed some searching on the internet but i can't seem to find this discussed anywhere.
The plot was predictably sparse in regards to original content. But, how many of u.s.a. were expecting earth-shattering suspense or heed-blowing changes?
